Mercurial Nature of AI: MAKV Research Day Keynote
I delivered the keynote speech at the University of Turku’s MAKV Departmental Research Day, presenting an ontological perspective on human–AI interaction. Drawing on work from a research paper currently under review (co-authored with Jani Koskinen and Salla Westerstrand), I explored how the semantic excellence of artificial intelligence acts as a mercurial mirror for humanity at both the individual and societal levels, and how this helps explain AI’s varying impacts.
Full details will be shared once the underlying research is formally published.
